My first Standard Distance Triathlon since July last year and my first time competing in this event in the beautiful historic town of Chester.
An early morning swim in the River Dee saw me clearing the water way ahead of the pack, first into and out of T1 and out onto the bike course for a 40 K ride around the town. A good solid 10 K run but I was pleased to see the finish line.
Finished 1st in my Age Group (20 – 24) securing qualification for the World Championships in Hamburg in 2027. I have qualified for both standard and sprint distances so there are choices to me made.
Next race is the GBR Age Group European Sprint Triathlon Championships in Tarragona, Spain.
