My 5th time competing in the Ilkley Sprint Triathlon hosted by Leeds Bradford Triathlon Club. Always a good, friendly, very steep and hilly event to end the season on. The weather was kind this year albeit a bit windy.
A good fast 500 M swim into T1 and onto the challenging 3 lap bike course, gosh those hills! 1 lap of the same course for the 4.8 K run, coming home in 1.01.16. Got my best finish ever with 2nd place in my age group and 5th overall.
And that a wrap for the 2026 triathlon season. What a year its been – my most successful one so far.
Next stop is Abu Dhabi in November for the British Triathlon GBR Age Group Team competing in the World Aquathlon.
