About Me

I began my sporting career when I joined City of Wakefield Swimming Club at the age of 7. By the age of 9 I was actively competing with great success in all strokes at all distances from 50m to 1500m. I swam at County and Regional level for 10 years. Last year I decided to give open water swimming a go and as a keen cyclist and runner wondered if Triathlon was the way forward. Needless to say I took to it like a duck to water and I am now a member of The Blue Lagooners Triathlon & Open Water Swimming Club / Evolve Endurance training under the expert guidance of Coaches Morgan Williams and Beverley Firth. I remain with City of Wakefield as an Assistant Coach two nights a week. I am also part of the Safety Crew at Blue Lagoon where I can been seen on a paddle board ensuring the safety of the swimmers. I have recently qualified as an RLSS Lifeguard and a Level 2 STA Swimming Teacher working at Tadcaster Community Swimming Pool.
