I landed back in the UK late Saturday 23rd September from World Champs in Spain and after a few hours sleep took take part in my 3rd Ilkley triathlon which was celebrating its 30th Anniversary.
It was a very overcast and gusty day but a good sprint triathlon nonetheless. Always love racing the hills in Ilkley and despite the windy weather and being tired, I managed 5th in my age group and not far off my time from last year.
This was the final Triathlon of the season, which has been busy, challenging at times but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless. Now some hard winter training to be done before my first event in April 2024 and another busy year with Euro and World Qualifiers for 2025 and competing in the Euro Sprint Championships in 2024.
