This was a new event which took place in the wonderful setting of the Rother Valley Country Park. After thunder storms and torrential downpours on the drive down, the sun came out and the weather was perfect. The 750m lake swim was amazing, I got a good lead and exited the water first, both transitions were near perfect. The bike course was hilly but enjoyable and the 5k run around the lake in the sunshine was great. Really pleased with my performance and time, finished 2nd in my age group, 17th male overall out of 153.
