Epworth Sprint Triathlon – 2.10.22

This was my last Triathlon of the season and we were so lucky with the weather, cool first thing but no breeze and wall the wall sunshine throughout the event.

The bike course was good however the two sets of temporary traffic lights which apparently appeared overnight were not what I wanted to see – guess what colour they were when I got to them both – yes RED! The run course was challenging, mostly on rough terrain with lots of mud and a disused railway track. The traffic lights affected my time however I still mangled 3rd place in my age group and 9th place overall. Not too shabby but improvements still to be made.

Special Thanks go the following for all your support in 2022.

Additionally, I’d like to thank The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust, City of Wakefield Swimming Club, Tadcaster Community Pool, New College Pontefract and Blue Lagooners Triathlon & Open Water Swimming Club and all the people who helped in any way to enable me to compete for GB Age Group in Munich.

Now it’s time to knuckle down to some winter training ready for next season.
