My third time competing in the Olympic Distance Triathlon in the wonderful grounds of Belvoir Castle, part of the Castle Race Series and thankfully the weather this year was a lot kinder than last.
Second out of the water followed by the long uphill run to T1 and onto a hilly bike course slightly changed from last year. A good solid 10k run but it was hot and humid by the time I crossed the line.
Finished 5th in the Senior Age Group and 11th overall. Pretty pleased with my performance only a week on from the last one. A bit of rest now before the last two races of the season in September at Allerthorpe and Ilkley, and hopfully World Aquathlon in Abu Dhabi in November. Time for a holiday to recharge the batteries.
