On Sunday 25th September I took part in my second Ilkley Triathlon. It was cooler and a lot windier than last year and forgetting my bike glasses wasn’t the best idea, however I managed to knock nearly 2 and a half minutes off my previous time, finishing 10th overall and 3rd in my Age Group.
Having my 3rd place prize presented by Jonny Brownlee really put the icing on the cake for me.
A fantastic, friendly, well-run Triathlon, I even love the hills. I hope to be back in 2023.
