My 4th time competing in the Ilkley Sprint Triathlon and again it didn’t disappoint. I love this one, especially the big hills – up not down! The weather was perfect this year, not much of a breeze, dry , sunny and fairly warm.
Good swim, bike course not too shabby despite nearly being taken out by two pedestrians and a chain malfunction, ended with a good solid strong run finishing 9th overall in the open category and 4th in my age group (20 – 29). Thanks to Leeds Bradford Triathlon Club for another great event.
Well that’s the 2025 season over for local triathlons – next stop World Championships in Wollongong, Australia in October.
