OUTLAW Sprint Triathlon

GB Age Group Qualifier for European Championships 2026

Saturday 17th May, 2025 saw me take part in the OUTLAW Sprint Triathlon, a GB Age Group Qualifier for 2026.

My first time competing on the course at the Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre in Nottingham and it did not disappoint.

The swim in the boating lake was a mad mass start on a cold morning, thankfully I got myself well placed and took an early lead, coming out of the water first with a clean exit and fast wet suit removal. Thanks to Raceskin for my amazing new wet suit.

The bike course was on the narrow road around the lake, 4 laps with tight technical corners and long straights with a cold headwind heading away from the boathouse. The new bike handled well and felt very comfortable. Thanks to Richard and Paul at Racescene.

The 5K run being 1 lap, partly on the bike course and partly on the path and rough ground around the lake, went well with me putting in one of my best ever 5K runs.

Over 500 athletes in total took part in the event. Very proud to say that I finished 1st in my age group (Open 20 to 24) with a time of 1.10.24, giving me qualification to the GBR European Sprint Triathlon Championships 2026 together with qualifying entry times for the European and World Aquathlon’s also in 2026. Thanks to my coach Carrine Green, CG Performance Coaching for getting me race ready.
