GBR Age Group Qualifier – 17th August 2024
My first time competing at the Mallory Park Racing Circuit and what a venue. Fantastic lake swim on a warm sunny day, I was first out of the water by around 2 minutes. The technical bike course consisted of 7 laps around the race circuit which was fast and furious with hairpins, hills and long flat sections to get some speed up. The run course was partially around the circuit and by this time it was getting quite warm.
Overall a really enjoyable race and very well organised. Sadly I missed out on a qualification place by the narrowest of margins however thoroughly I enjoyed the experience of the event and will hopefully return next year.
